About the Researchers
Marguerite Madden is a professor in the UGA Department of Geography and director of the Center for Geospatial Research. Her research interests include GIScience (geographic information systems, remote sensing, unmanned aerial systems and geovisualization), landscape ecology, human/animal-environment interactions, historical narratives with story maps.
Sergio Bernardes is an adjunct assistant professor in the UGA Department of Geography and associate director of the Center for Geospatial Research. He is an FAA Certified Remote Pilot and his expertise includes software development and the design and implementation of large geospatial projects. His primary research involves analyses of multivariate datasets, including time series of remotely sensed images, ground-based climate data and derived metrics to assess vegetation responses to environmental changes.
